EquiVision to Participate in Webinar: Feeding The Weanling

For the first several months, foals get the majority of their nutrients from their mothers’ milk. However, most foals’ nutritional needs begin to outpace their mothers’ milk supply at around 4 to 6 months of age. This is also a common time to wean foals. Feeding the weanling can sometimes be a balancing act. If you feed them too much, you could have higher risks of problems such as joint disease. If they don’t get enough nutrients, you could see less than optimal growth.

Want help making sure your feed program is on par? Join Dr. Bill Vandergrift, CEO of EquiVision Inc. for a free webinar “Feeding The Weanling” on Monday, January 30th, 2017.

We’ll cover tips such as:

  • Identifying normal versus excessive post-weaning stress.
  • Comparative nutrient requirements of weanlings versus older horses.
  • Understanding differences between normal growth and maximum growth in weanlings.
  • Identifying and supporting maximum growth and development for weanlings headed to yearling sales or futurities.
  • Identifying, managing and correcting common developmental and nutritional disorders in weanlings.

This webinar is FREE and can be attended via your phone or computer. However, you must register to attend. Reserve your spot at:
